I am an associate professor at the Institute of Polish Culture<\/a>, University of Warsaw. I graduated with honors from the University of Warsaw in cultural studies and journalism and hold a PhD from the same university in cultural studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a theatre and performance scholar, haunted by nineteenth century history; a feminist inspired by women of the past; and a fangirl of fantasy and gothic narratives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently I work on unveiling Polish colonial histories hoping to prevent further replication of racial stereotypes in contemporary Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My research has been widely published in both Polish and international academic journals and I appear as a cultural commentator in Polish media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a mom of two remarkable people who every day make me stop whatever I am doing and stare at them in awe. Unless I am writing…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
